Paulie's First Birthday

Paulie has his first birthday coming up, and his Mom asked me if I would make him a birthday banner he could use every year. Well, I ran with that idea and designed the door hanging above along with the birthday banner & placemat. I think he'll have a great birthday!

Here is my first  attempt at an applique & pieced design with some fun embellishments. I may even try my hand at another applique design.

I took the plunge and created an original design complete with embellishments. I haven't done a lot of applique before, but it was quite fun.
